Victoria Bitter ‘Pop Up Pub’
VB drinkers were given the chance to win their own pop up pub through a Summer Cricket promotion. We created a humorous online commercial to demonstrate the simple assembly of the pub which included an illuminated beer sign which is mandatory for any pub.
A spokesperson for VB said the Pop Up Pub can be constructed in under a minute flat as it contains only nine pieces and no Allen keys, bolts or instruction manuals are required. The engineering ingenuity behind the VB Pop Up Pub has seen it entered in the Australian International Design Awards, in the ‘Consumer’ category.
The Pop Up Pub has been VB’s most successful campaign to date, winning two APMA awards for 2010 and effectively shifting VB’s brand positioning from kitsch to stylised.
